Clinical Lead / Senior Case Manager

Georgina (aka George) has over 25 years’ experience working with children and young people. She currently has a background in Education working in both mainstream and Special Educational Needs settings, including the role of Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) and undertook further training in Makaton, Portage and speech and language programmes. In 2000 she moved from Education to Social Care undertaking the multi-disciplinary role of Family Keyworker for children with multiple disabilities and/or complex health needs. This role included undertaking integrated needs assessments, coordinating and implementing care plans, complex discharge planning, referring to other services, arranging and chairing MDT review meetings, accessing funding and advocacy including DWP benefits and SEN appeals.

George is a member of BABICM and has practised as a Case Manager since 2005, further developing skills in coordinating complex packages of rehabilitation and care. She has experience in providing case management to clients who have acquired a brain injury, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. George has experience working both on a joint and single instruction basis, supporting clients during the litigation process and post-settlement, in the fields of personal and serious injury, clinical negligence and criminal injury cases. George supervises and provides support to colleague Case Managers in her role as Clinical Lead.
