Jo Proffitt

Joanne (Jo) qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1995. She began her career working in the NHS in a basic grade rotational post and then a Senior post in Neurological Rehabilitation. Following this, Jo specialised in stroke rehabilitation and became a team manager working both clinically and in a leadership role across acute and community pathways. She developed her skills in completing complex holistic assessments and planning and delivering treatment. Jo has an excellent understanding of rehabilitation, neurological recovery and multi-disciplinary roles. Her areas of specialist interest are cognitive rehabilitation and the psychological impact of brain injury.

Jo joined CCMS as a Case Manager in 2018. She brings her wealth of knowledge and experience of Acquired Brain Injury and rehabilitation. Jo works collaboratively and professionally to support both adults and children who have sustained ABI through personal injury and clinical negligence. Jo has experience in supervising support workers and developing excellent relationships with families to identify and meet her client’s changing needs.

Jo is registered with The Health and Care Professionals Council (OT24249) and a member of the British Association of Brain Injury Case managers (BABICM).
