Clinical Supervisor/Case Manager

Lauren qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2010. She began her career working in the NHS in a Stroke Rehabilitation Unit and quickly progressed to Senior OT within the same team. During this time Lauren worked with patients from the acute stages of treatment across the care pathway to discharge and community rehabilitation. She became highly proficient in completing in-depth holistic assessments, planning and delivering treatment, completing environmental assessments and providing equipment. Lauren has gained an excellent understanding of neuroplasticity and the benefits of early rehabilitation. Her areas of specialist interest are cognitive dysfunction and upper limb rehabilitation.

Lauren joined CCMS as a Case Manager in 2017. She brings her experience and understanding of Acquired Brain Injury rehabilitation and working closely with a multi-disciplinary team. Lauren works efficiently and professionally to support both adults and children who have sustained ABI through personal injury and clinical negligence in both settled and litigation cases. Lauren has experience working on both single and joint instructions, coordinating complex rehabilitation packages and supervising support workers.

Lauren is registered with The Health and Care Professionals Council (OT61560) and a member of the British Association of Brain Injury Case managers (BABICM). Lauren is a Committee Member of Headway Teesside and is the Mental Capacity Act/Deprivation of Liberty Lead for CCMS Ltd.
