Lisa qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1999. Starting her career on a junior rotation she soon progressed to a senior position within an intermediate care service. She has 22 years’ experience working in the NHS, predominantly in adult community services delivering rehabilitation in both patient facing and operational leadership roles. Having worked with, and leading multi-disciplinary teams for many years she has an excellent understanding of rehabilitation, neurological recovery, and multi-disciplinary roles.
Lisa brings with her experience of providing holistic assessment and planning treatment to adults with stroke, brain injury, progressive neurological conditions, and frailty at varying stages of their recovery. Working with clients to achieve maximum functional independence and quality of life, through rehabilitation programmes, adaptive equipment or embedding new techniques and strategies. She is client centered, outcome focused, a good problem solver, and is excellent at working collaboratively in challenging circumstances.
Lisa has experience of recruiting and supervising support workers and delivering training to a range of health and social care personnel. She has also worked as Specialist Clinical Advisor to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and been active in the inspections of NHS Trusts, community services, residential and nursing care homes.
Lisa is the Amputee Lead for CCMS Ltd.
Lisa is registered with The Health and Care Professionals Council (OT.30128) and a practitioner member of BABICM.
